How I hack numerous computers with my iPod

Most people think hacking with an iPod is absurd. Much less rooting a network and compromising all the computers on it, however this is much more simple than anyone would like to believe.

No, my iPod Touch is not hacked or modified in any way (anymore) and there is no special app that I use.

I simply do it with the default Safari browser.

How?

Well, I go to a public place, a restraunt, coffee shop, tea shop, whatever. Any place with open wifi.

I then type "192.168.1.1" into the browser.

Woot. A router. Came up not found? You can also try to find the initial ip address of the router, that should be somewhere under the settings for the current wifi network under settings.

Anyway, a lot of the time, the router doesn't even ask for a password. Other times you have to google for the default password. It will usually identify its self on the authorisation prompt.

Either way, you now have root access on the router. woot.

Now what? If you were more malicious, you could set a wifi password, effectively kicking everyone off the network. Or you could do something worse, perhaps locate the DHCP clients table, and see what you can do to each one?

Often the laptops have file sharing enabled (you would need a laptop for that), or sometimes they have interesting services running on them, maybe SSH, VNC, etc.

Moral of the story: change your router passwords to anything that is not default.
